My third annual Kids' Fun Fair took place on
October 15, 2005 at Sun Valley High School in
Aston, Pennsylvania. The event was a tremendous
success with approximately 1,000 parents and
children in attendance.
The Philadelphia Zoo was on hand to present
its Zoo on Wheels "Born in the USA" program,
while the Franklin Institute offered its
interactive and educational Traveling Science
Show.
The Kids' Fun Fair featured representatives
of state and local agencies who provided
valuable information on programs and benefits
available to children and families alike.
Exhibitors included the Bureau of Unclaimed
Property, the Criminal Investigation Division of
the Delaware County District Attorney's Office
(CID), the Delaware County Sheriff's Office,
PENNDOT, the Pennsylvania Higher Education
Assistance Agency (PHEAA), and the Tuition
Account Program (TAP). The Pennsylvania
Freemasons Foundation for Children was also on
hand to promote their Child Identification
Program (CHIP).
Given the success of this event, I plan to
hold another Kids' Fun Fair next year. I look
forward to working with you to make future
functions as successful as this year's.
