November 24, 2008 - Senator Pileggi presented the Justinian Award to Mr. Benedetto at the Justinian Annual Dinner in Springfield, Delaware County.

November 19, 2008 – Senator Pileggi joined the Bridge Educational Foundation at St. James Alumni Association in Eddystone to announce Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) scholarship donations totaling $92,500. The EITC program encourages donations from Pennsylvania companies to allow children to attend schools they could not otherwise afford and to develop innovative programs in public schools. November 12, 2008 - Fourth grade students from Octorara Elementary School visited the State Capitol Building.

November 10, 2008 - Senator Pileggi took part in the Stay Warm Consumer Education Event at Neumann College in Aston. The event, organized by the Public Utility Commission, was designed to help community leaders understand programs available to help Pennsylvania families safely heat their homes this winter.
