December 5, 2011 - Senator Pileggi visited with Dr. Bill Mlkvy (center), and Fred Dobisch (second from right), along with Lt. Dr. Mlkvy, a former Temple University basketball player nicknamed "The Owl without a Vowel," and Mr. Dobishch were recognized by the Senate for their contributions to the community.

December 5, 2011 - Senator Pileggi presented a Senatorial Citation honoring Coach Bill Manlove, the former head football coach for Widener University, on the Senate Floor prior to Session. Coach Manlove was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on July 15, 2011 in South Bend, Indiana. He is lauded as the program's winningest coach with a record of 182 wins, 53 losses and 1 tie. (Click on the photograph for additional photographs from this event.)
