Senator Pileggi To Host Local Government
Grant Workshop in Media on March 14

Senator Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi (R-9) will host a grant workshop for local government officials on Friday, March 14, in Media. The workshop is designed to provide information to elected officials about grant opportunities available through the Commonwealth and its agencies.

"Many municipalities are unaware of the state programs which can help fund local projects," said Senator Pileggi. "This workshop provides an opportunity for local elected officials to speak with representatives from state programs and learn how to apply for state funding."

The workshop – scheduled for 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kings Mills, 6000 Pennell Road – will feature representatives from several Commonwealth agencies, including the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the Department of General Services (DGS), the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), and the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST).

Participants will each receive a desktop reference manual containing a list of state programs and important contact information.
