Senator Pileggi to Host Senior Expo in Kennett Square on Friday, September 12

Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi (R-9) will host a Senior Expo in Kennett Square on Friday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Red Clay Room, 423 Dalmatian Street.

"The Senior Expo is a valuable event for seniors and I am pleased to have the opportunity to bring this event to Kennett Square," Senator Pileggi said. "The Expo allows seniors to interact with representatives from various agencies and it also allows me to listen to their concerns and address the issues most important to them."

The one-day Senior Expo, offered free of charge, will feature a variety of exhibitors from state, local, county and federal agencies offering information on programs of interest to seniors. Additionally, there will be free health screenings, refreshments and door prizes.

Scheduled exhibitors will include the AARP, Adult Care of Chester County, the Chester County Sheriff's Office, the Chester County Veterans Affairs Office, the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, SEPTA, the Pennsylvania State Treasury Department, and the Transportation Management Association of Chester County.

In order to accommodate the expected number of attendees, a free shuttle service will be provided to the Senior Expo from the Kennett Area YMCA Community Pool parking lot, 636 South Walnut Street in Kennett Square. Shuttle service will begin at 9:30 a.m.
