This event is offered free of charge as a community service and will be held rain or shine at Sun Valley High School, 2881 Pancoast Avenue in Aston from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year's Kids' Fun Fair will feature a variety of programs, music, entertainment, and educational exhibits for children and families. The Philadelphia Zoo will present its Zoo on Wheels "Outrageous Reptiles" program, and the Franklin Institute will offer its Traveling Science Show. Additionally, the SEPTA K-9 Unit will perform an outdoor show. "These interactive shows are both educational and entertaining," said Senator Pileggi. "They allow children and their parents a chance to learn in an exciting way by seeing reptiles, science and the K-9 unit up close." The Kids' Fun Fair will also feature representatives from state and local agencies who will provide information on programs and benefits available to families and children. Representatives from the Tuition Account Program (TAP), the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), the Liquor Control Board, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office, the Delaware County Sheriff's office, and local fire and police departments are among the scheduled exhibitors. The Pennsylvania Masonic Youth Foundation's Children Identification Program will be on hand to take children's fingerprints, a public safety measure designed to help authorities in the event a child is missing or kidnapped. Other activities include face-painting, a "moon bounce," and refreshments.
