Pennsylvania Redistricting Updates

February 22, 2012 - The Legislative Reapportionment Commission met today (agenda,
video). The LRC's next meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 28,
2012, at 1 p.m.
February 8, 2012 - Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the United States District
Court issued an
order
and an
opinion.
Senator Dominic Pileggi, Representative Mike Turzai, and
Louis B. Kupperman filed an
Opposition to Motion to Intervene in federal court.
February 7, 2012 - Senator Dominic Pileggi, Representative Mike Turzai, and
Louis B. Kupperman filed a
Reply in Further Support of Plaintiffs' Motion for Temporary Restraining Order
in federal court.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court
extended Judge Stephen J.
McEwen Jr.'s term as chair of the Legislative Reapportionment Commission.

majority opinion in the case regarding General Assembly redistricting.
