2007 Senior Expo

On the morning of Thursday, May 24, I welcomed nearly 700 seniors to my fifth annual Senior Expo. The event was held in the Life Center Building at Neumann College in Aston. More than 65 exhibitors from federal, state, county, and local agencies participated, providing information on a wide variety of services available for seniors. AARP, Crozer-Keystone Health Systems, Riddle Memorial Hospital, Senior Victim Services, and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office each sent representatives to meet and speak with seniors from the 9th Senatorial District. Music for the event was provided by the LanChester Band. Generous sponsors, including Aqua Pennsylvania, Chester Water Authority, the Conoco Phillips Trainer Refinery, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, PECO, and Verizon, made the event possible. Neumann College deserves special thanks for hosting this event once again.

The Senior Expo continues to be well received by the community. I look forward to bringing this event to the 9th District again next year.
